MEET THE BAND!
Charlie Freeman
Guitars/Vocals/PERCUSSION
Born in Atlanta and raised in Marietta, Charlie Freeman knew he wanted to play the guitar from the moment he first heard “Love Me Do” off the 1 album at eleven years old.
Now, after three long years of busking Beatles songs in the streets, parks and subway stations of New York City with such local luminaries as the Meetles and as a one-man act, Charlie’s returned to his beloved home state on a simple mission: to give an audience a show they’ll never forget.
Dave Williams
Drums/percussion/vocals
Born and raised in Atlanta GA, David Williams has been a lover of music all his life, and has been drumming for more than half of it. Raised in a musical home, his father influenced him with The Beatles, classical, gospel, jazz and many other genres. After dabbling in guitar and bass, David found the drums learned by playing along to Beatles records, learning to replicate Ringo’s signature style. David joined Rubber Revolver in 2025 and continues to provide the backbeat for the “Lads” into the future, as well as original groups HeyDreamer and The Pussywillows.
Joel Edwards
Keyboards/percussion/vocals
Joel Edwards’ obsession with music began early, fronting a Blues Brothers band in high school before earning an eminently useless degree in Classical Guitar Performance. His studio demo work in 1990s Nashville taught him to STFU, as did his time on the road with Louise Mandrell. Years touring with the August Christopher Band eventually led him to Atlanta, where he was recruited by World Championship Wrestling—not to wrestle, but to compose theme songs for stars like Sid Vicious and Booker T.
Decades playing bass with Barry Richman and other Atlanta greats gradually morphed into more work on piano and B3, along with solo and duo gigs and fill-ins for larger corporate bands.
Joel’s versatility, musicality, and deep training have made him an in-demand multi-instrumentalist across the Atlanta music scene.
Eric Leland
Bass/vocals
Eric Leland is an Americana singer-songwriter and performer based in Roswell, GA. Since he started playing in bands at 15, Eric has shared the stage with some of the South’s most notable acts, including Billy Ray Cyrus, Mothers Finest, Black Crowes, Georgia Satellites, Cowboy Mouth, and Bo Bice. He has recorded and released over 150 songs, both solo and with groups such as The Luxury Kings, Brothers Leland, Walker Smith THC, and Rocksploitation. Eric is also the co-founder of Demagogue Productions and co-producer of “Love In Song: An Atlanta Tribute To Sir Paul McCartney,” a tribute album featuring 20 Atlanta-based bands covering McCartney’s songs. He is the recipient of a single MTV Video Music Award. The Macarena is kind of his fault.
Eric’s passion for music began early, inspired by artists like The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Stevie Wonder, Wings, and Queen. A dedicated record collector and music lover since grade school, he picked up the bass at 15 and spent his formative years playing in college bars, nightclubs, and house parties. Although adulthood has brought changes, his approach to music remains the same: write songs, make records, play shows, and repeat.
Barry Wolfert
Guitar/Vocals
Barry’s passion for music began at an early age. Around the time he turned 12, he heard the "magic chord” of a Hard Day’s Night and everything changed. He started playing guitar and has never stopped. A lifelong Beatles fan, his interest expanded to all the groups of the 60's, 70’s and 80’s. Prior to forming Rubber Revolver, he was the bass player for an 80’s college rock band playing all over Atlanta.
What Barry lacks in talent, he makes up for with enthusiasm and passion. Putting together "Rubber Revolver" is a bucket list item for him.
